Work starts soon on the restoration of Newnham Bells

After years of planning and fundraising, the long awaited work on the bells of Newnham church is about to start. It was back in 2012 that the parish learned that its eight bells were in such a poor state, that without a major restoration, they would fall silent.
The Nelson Trust’s Hub Enterprises will open the doors of Cheltenham’s alcohol-free entertainment venue, The Sober Parrot, on 5 May 2018

The Nelson Trust\'s Hub Project is launching its latest community enterprise - The Sober Parrot. This will be Cheltenham\'s first late night entertainment venue with a strictly alcohol-free offer. The project accompanies the Hub Bistro, The Hub Academy and the Hub Maintains, also run by The Nelson Trust in Gloucestershire.

Landfill site operator Cory Environmental Resource Management has rebranded as Enovert. The landfill, green energy, composting and anaerobic digestion business, now operating as Enovert, was sold by the Cory Environmental group in January 2017.

The Gloucestershire Environmental Trust has distributed money provided by the Landfill Communities Fund to Gloucestershire projects for the last 20 years, however, the decision to go ahead with building the Javelin Park Incinerator means that money available to the Trust from the Landfill Communities Fund will dry up next year.
