Upgraded toilets will benefit Drybrook Rugby Club

Drybrook Rugby Club has received a grant of £15,000 from the Gloucestershire Environmental Trust towards improving its toilet facilities.

Chairman of Drybrook Rugby Football Club, Paul Mason said: "The committee of Drybrook Rugby Football Club are delighted to have been awarded a grant of £15,000 towards the enlargement and modernisation of the male toilet block.

"The toilets are on target for completion by September 2016 and will be available for club and community use shortly after.

"Thanks to the Gloucestershire Environmental Trust and the Landfill Communities Fund, we are now able to make this long-anticipated project a reality."

The club has contributed £6,500 towards the project, as well as securing £2,500 of Summerfield Trust money.

The Rugby Club was founded in 1892 and today is a base for 17 teams and several community-based organisations.

Over the last 12 months, close to £1.5 million has been awarded to community projects in Gloucestershire by the Gloucestershire Environmental Trust.
