Thanks to a grant of £60,000, a new community space will be created at the New Brewery Arts centre in Cirencester.

Funding from the Gloucestershire Environmental Trust means the NBA can create the bright and airy community room with state-of-the-arts facilities in the old barrel store section of the buiding

Three injections of cash have taken The Roses theatre to within £60,000 of the £800,000 it needs for its planned revamp.

Bosses at the venue in Sun Street, Tewkesbury, plan to carry out major refurbishment work later this summer. It includes enhancing the foyer and box office, creating a new coffee bar and a new eating area and improving the heating and toilets.
