Funding: £31,328
Scheme Type: Normal Grants

Hartpury Village Hall, Richdale, Over Old Road, Hartpury, Gloucestershire, GL19 3DH

The new Hartpury Village Hall is due for completion in September 2013. The old hall was small and in a poor state of repair, with inadequate parking. Finance for the new facility, which also includes a children's play area, has come from a variety of sources including 15 different grant funding organisations.

The Gloucestershire Environmental Trust provided funding for the new stage to be installed, providing local drama and musical groups with a modern and well-appointed facility for rehearsing and performing.

The hall will also be used by the local school for activities and concerts. The hall has been designed to accommodate a badminton court, and also includes two meeting rooms, a kitchen, bar and store rooms with heating provided by an air-source heat pump is situated next to the school in the heart of the village. It has taken a great deal of effort over a number of years to make the new hall a reality.
